Bluesky is not like facebook... 

On Bluesky, you don’t send friend requests like you would on Facebook. Instead, you can follow anyone’s profile, and your connection doesn’t require their approval unless they’ve enabled specific privacy settings. 

This makes connecting on Bluesky faster and simpler, because it is an emerging decentralized social media platform designed to give users more control over their online presence and connections.

Steps to Follow Someone on Bluesky

How to Send a Friend Request on Bluesky
  1. Log in to your BlueSky account
  2. Use the Search bar to find someone you know
  3. Click on the profile of the person to go to their profile
  4. Click on the Follow button on their profile to follow them.
  5. Repeat same steps till you find and follow all your friends.
